From the DeBartolo Family Foundation to the creation of Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School and the immense financial and personal contributions to charitable organizations, Edward J. DeBartolo, Jr., and all of DeBartolo Holdings is committed to corporate responsibility and contributing to the economic development of the community. DeBartolo Family Foundation
The DeBartolo Family Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation created by the members of the Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., family to benefit local communities. The Foundation annually awards scholarships to deserving students and provides grants to exceptional individuals and organizations.

Community Reinvestment Fund
The goal of our Community Reinvestment Fund is to acquire, develop, redevelop and reposition real estate assets on properties serving low‐to‐moderate income communities or designated community redevelopment areas in the Southern U.S. This is a unique investment fund that seeks to breath new life into older properties and reinvigorate communities that have been underserved or neglected to improve asset performance and add value though proactive management. Through our strong relationships with our financial partners, we are able to source transactions and identify unique opportunities to maximize returns. As with all DeBartolo projects and endeavors, sensitivity to the community and environment as well as responsibility to our investors is paramount to ensure each project the Fund acquires is a ‘win-win’ for everyone involved.

Being Green
At DeBartolo Development, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure the highest standard of environmental performance on every project. We demonstrate this commitment through our completed Green projects, which includes an anchor supermarket in one of our commercial real estate projects that is expected to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design for Existing Buildings) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
